About the event
In 1976, the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the mighty Soviet Red Army Hockey Team, saving the pride of the NHL and asserting the two-time defending Stanley Cup Champions as the best team in the world. The Museum of Sports is proud to present the first “Lunch With Our Legends” to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Flyers' epic victory over the Soviet Red Army Hockey team, a 3rd straight trip to the Stanley Cup Finals, a near-perfect home record, and other topics. Please join Flyers legends Bill Barber, Bob Kelly, Jim Watson, and Joe Watson, along with others, for a panel discussion with the Flyers who made history in 1976. Also, learn about the exciting plans of the Museum of Sports at this event.
